GDPR Notice - 

Legislation dictates that I must store data securely and privately in line with GDPR 2018 guidelines. 

As part of my membership with NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), and the terms of my insurance I will be keeping any records (notes and information gathered for 8 years upon our last interaction. If you are under 16 this information will be stored until you are 26. 

This is the minimum time my insurance allows before deletion. If you would like to request a copy of any of this information, I am obliged to provide it to you within 30 days of the request. 

The reasons for the storage of these records is to protect you the client, and I the therapist should you or the authorities need to access it. It may be used to support you, comply with legal obligations, carry out a task in the public interest. 

I will not share information about you without your consent unless the law allows me to, it will be stored in a password protected file. 

What you say in our sessions will be confidential unless I or my supervisor believe that you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else.
